Sometimes, you don’t need a full portfolio photoshoot. That’s why we’ve created a streamlined, more economical option tailored specifically for men who want to highlight their hard work and dedication to fitness. Whether you’re a model, athlete, personal trainer, or simply someone proud of their progress in the gym, this shoot is designed with you in mind.

In this one-hour session, the focus is entirely on capturing your physique in its best light, literally. Instead of multiple outfit changes, we’ll use the time to experiment with various lighting setups that emphasize muscle definition, symmetry, and form. The shoot can be customized to your goals: we can create striking, editorial-style images, fitness-focused portraits, or shots that reflect your personal brand as a fitness professional.

This session is all about showcasing your body’s strength and creating impactful images that help you market yourself as a model, athlete, or fitness professional. While this shoot doesn’t include fashion or traditional headshots, it’s the perfect way to celebrate your hard work and create photos that truly stand out.

What’s included in the Men’s Physique session?

1) 1 hour in studio.

2) 6 retouched images included in price.  Option to purchase more retouched images after shoot

3) One portrait/headshot (if requested.)  A black t-shirt or tank is allowed if you’d like the portrait to not be body focused.

4) Multiple lighting set-ups.

5) Option to focus the style of the images for models, fitness professionals, fitness enthusiasts, or a combination.

6) Posing and expression guidance (as needed) throughout the shoot, with no prior photoshoot/modeling experience necessary.

7) A post-shoot web gallery with proofs, from which you select your own final images (recommendations provided).

8) All body types and all ages (18+) encouraged.  You do not need to look like the models on this page!

Located in Beverly, MA – Anthony Grassetti Photography has a full service fashion photography studio.  With a dedicated space for hair/makeup as well as ample room for a variety of lighting set-ups, and backdrops, the studio offers a true sense of a fashion photography shoot.  With direct train access from North Station, as well as convenient on-site parking.

The studio is located at 59 Park St in Beverly, MA. While I used to work regularly in NYC, I now find myself spending more time in Beverly as my schedule has steadily filled with local clients over the years.

What if I have no experience in front of the camera?2024-11-22T22:10:23-05:00

Then you are in the right place!  One of my specialties is working with new models, actors, business people, etc and helping them with posing, making different expressions, and being comfortable in front of the camera.  You can show up with absolutely no experience, and I have no expectations that you know how to pose.  I will be happy to assist you!  Please note, if you are a model booking a portfolio shoot, do not choose the “update package” as it is designed for more experienced models who do not need the posing guidance.

I am not as fit as the models on your website. Will the photos still be good?2024-11-22T22:17:27-05:00

Absolutely!  Though I can not create muscles or remove fat, I can do a lot with lighting, angles, and posing guidance to bring out the absolute best in your physique.  Sometimes men have a little extra fat in the lower abs area; if lighting and pose is not enough, we can always shoot 3/4 length and crop above the navel for more of a fitness focused portrait, rather than full length image.  In addition, I can do a lot when retouching the photos, though I always prefer to keep people looking like themselves where possible.

Lastly, you are welcome to book this shoot regardless of your body type or condition.  You do not need to be muscular or lean at all.  If you are comfortable with your body and want to show it off, I’d be happy to help you!

The men’s physique shoot is shorter (one hour) and focuses almost entirely on your body. Unlike a full portfolio shoot, it doesn’t include multiple wardrobe changes or headshots, allowing us to spend more time perfecting images that highlight your physique.  You are welcome to bring a black t shirt, or tank top if you’d like to get a portrait in, but the vast majority of the time will be spent on physique.

We can tailor the shoot to your specific goals with a variety of lighting setups. For a commercial model, we might create relaxed, effortless images reminiscent of a Calvin Klein ad. If you’re drawn to fashion, we can explore unique poses and edgy lighting for a bold, striking look. For personal trainers or fitness professionals, clean, professional images against a white backdrop are perfect for advertising your services. Whatever your focus, every shot will be thoughtfully lit and composed to highlight the body.

Absolutely! The shoot can be customized to your preferences. Whether you want editorial-style images, fitness-focused portraits, or an artistic approach, I’ll tailor the session to achieve your goals.  If you’re not sure what you want, I will come up with ideas and offer suggestions.

You will receive 6 retouched images, that you select yourself from a web gallery after the photoshoot.  If you would like a few extra images because you can’t pick only 6, I can send you a few at no additional charge.  If you would like more than 6 retouched images, a rate card with options to purchase more will be provided after the shoot with your web gallery.  This information is specific to the Men’s Physique Package.

What kind of retouching is included?2024-11-22T22:31:41-05:00

Retouching will enhance muscle definition, clean skin, and polish the final images while ensuring they look natural and authentic. My goal is to highlight your hard work while keeping you looking like yourself.  With that being said, you are welcome to make retouching requests when you select your images.  For example, if you’d like your biceps to be larger or waist to be smaller, just let me know and I can make those adjustments for you!

How soon will I get my photos?2025-08-02T21:01:51-04:00

After the shoot, you will receive a web gallery of the best images within 3-4 days.  Once you make your selections, the retouching process can take anywhere from 2-3 weeks.  During busy times this will be on the longer side.  You always have the option to have your retouched images delivered within 2 days, which incurs a rush-processing fee of $100.

Rush image details:

When a client requests the rush processing, I do not delay other clients who have not paid for the rush processing and are waiting for their images. Rather, I work overtime the day it is requested to complete both the rush request and the client already waiting, hence the additional cost. Thank you!

It’s completely normal to feel that way, especially if it’s your first shoot. I’ve worked with clients of all experience levels, and my approach is designed to create a relaxed and comfortable environment where you can feel confident.  Almost everyone shows up nervous!
