One of the most common questions I am asked by new models, is how they should present their portfolio, and whether they should physically print the images. There are varying views on this, as some agencies have moved toward digital/internet portfolios almost exclusively, while others still prefer physical printed materials housed in black 9×12 portfolio binders.

Personally, I think printing your images and housing them in a physical porftfolio is a nice way to present your modeling work, and shows a level of respect for your own images. Though you may end up submitting digital images 90% of the time, I still love the idea of a physical book of printed images.

With that being said, the main rule is that the images must be 9×12. This is the industry standard, and I have yet to see any deviation from this in the last 10 years of doing this work. There are surprisingly few options once you actually start looking. I really like the one found here. (Please note, though I truly do recommend this portfolio, I earn commission through this link. You are welcome to shop around and look for alternatives! If you are looking for a more budget-friendly option, you can also look at this one , though I think this is a bit flimsy, though it certainly gets the job done.
